Pack n Play or the crib

Question

My son has been sleeping in his pack n play for 7 months now

and now we are looking for a crib for him what kind of crib should we get? we want a crib that has alot of room so he be able to move around in we also dont want him to hurt himself while he is playing in it

because of the wood what is the best crib with extra room?

Pretty sure all cribs are the same size.  We bought a 300.00 crib for the first child.  It's the same size as the 100.00 crib we got for the second.

Keep the pack n play for playtime. I honestly don't think it matters what kind of crib you get as long as it meets safety standards. I have one that has a drawer on the bottom though, which is handy for storing extra diapers, etc.

All Cribs are the same size on the inside.

Buy a Bumper, so he doesn't bump with the wooden rails.

Baby Bargains does a great job of rating cribs for safety and price.  You should also then cross-check with consumer reports ratings.

Don't be lazy--this is your child, not a bed you might buy for your cat.

you don't really have to go to crazy on buying a crib like spending big bucks on one so just a simple one would do keep in mind your child is 7 months that's ONLY about5 months til he is 1 and soon enough he isn't really going to want to sleep in a rib i know my nephew did it so what they did was bought him a cars toddler bed and he slept in that the whole time as a baby but just kept it up against the wall and in between their bed and the baby was always fine in it

Any crib.... they are all about the same size. I got a Simmons crib.

We got a simplicity crib that will eventually expand into a bed down the road.  This way the money we spent ($250 at Babies r us) will last longer.  Its beautiful and very sturdy.

At this point I would get a convertible crib (changes into a toddler bed), he will be climbing out of a crib before you know it!
