Painted turtle.....?

Question

I asked this before but I have a painted turtle that is a little bit over 4 inches. It's b******e matches the pictures of males and it is in the same place but he has short nails that look like female nails...

I'm confused!!

Generally, Females are larger then males.

Males have darker colors and longer nails.

Males have a concaved shell.

I thought you said he was 4 inches??? Okay, You may have a female... Does it have light or dark colors??
