Painting my garage?

i am painting my garage door with acrylic latex paint do i need to add water too if

If it's a wood door, don't add water but prime it first. If it's a metal door, you might want to consider oil based paint.

It's better if you don't.... if you need to make it thinner to spray that is another story but they sell a product called flo... for that.

why not use oil base paint, it will hold up better against the winter months.

Do not add water.  Make sure that the door is clean and free from any loose paint, and then prime with Zinsser 1-2-3 or Kilz 2.  Then apply 2 topcoats.  You will be very happy with the results.  Good luck.
