Pair skating Lifts; single practice?

Someone said I should be able to lift my own weight to manage doing lifts...

any suggestions of exercises to do it??

  1. intense weight training in the gym.

    get a trainer at your local gym.


  2. try lifting yourself up with a bar (curl ups) i dont know if you have a set of monkey bars or something near your house but thats always good.

    also, push ups, and other little activities. when you arent doing anything. pick something up. like your skating bag.

    even without a partner. just find a colum or a table, something sturdy and lift youself up into a split. this will prevent future on-ice pair falls.
