Panasonic Camera help?

Question

I know that Panasonic isn't an amazing brand with cameras such as Canon or Pentax or something, and I have never really owned anything Panasonic. From the reviews I have read it seems like it's a pretty good brand. I am considering getting this camera:

The main reason I want this camera is because it has a really great zoom, and that's the main thing I'm looking for in the camera I buy.

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this camera. I have read a lot of reviews, but I was just curious if anyone that has had this or tried this out would like to point out any flaws or anything really spectacular. Thanks!

2 things to know

it will give you grainy pictures.

it also has a firmware update which you will have to download and then install in the camera.

check out the canon sx100

well i can't speak exactlly on the tz4 tht ur looking at; but i can speak about the tz1. its the first in the line of the camera ur looking at; and its a panasonic. the panasonic digital camera has always gottn very good reviews. they do a great job on putting a lot of zoom on a small body size digcam. i have had my tz1 for over a 1½ and i love it. even w/ full optical & digital zoom, the noise on the pic is very low. battery life on pics is awesome; i went ofr days on one charge, but its not so good on video. if i was u; i would go for it. i'm tryn to get the underwater housing for my tz1; at a good price so i can do some underwater shoot,lol. enjoy the panasonic; they are a very brand; and they stand-by there product.
