Does anyone have the Panasonic SDR-S7K SD/SDHC Camcorder yet?

Being that this is a new product not too many people have one yet. But if you do is there a noticable punch to the video quality because of the compression on this camera? Id like to go with the Panasonic 40gb HDD camcorder, but if this one keeps the video quality pretty good, than that saves $150. my wife wont let us spend the money on a HD camcorder :-(
