  1. yeah that sounds like an adult :P

but well do u know thats true enough? make sure u do then i dont see the problem :)

    good luck

  2. Yes, but I would let her sit older kids, 4 and up, and would prefer that she lived in the neighborhood and her parents were home as "backup".   I do not think that a 13 year old is old enough to take responsibility for an infant.   An infant can get into a life threatening situation very quickly, choking or overheating, or drowning.  We had one tragic situation in our city recently where a very well-intentioned teen was caring for children, and she put the infant in a closet so it would be quiet for the child to sleep.  She did not realize that although the apartment was air conditioned, the closet was not ventilated, and the child died from hyperthermia.   It is little things like that that can trip up a very young and inexperienced person, no matter how responsible and careful she is.

  3. No, we need to have a babysitter who can write properly with capitals and punctuation marks, in order to be a good role model for our child.

The babysitter course and CPR classes are necessary assets, though.

  4. Of course, people like it most when you have training. (they pay you morse if you have had training)

  5. if i knew her:)

  6. yes i defenitely would, but not only that i would also root you on the spot!!

  7. if you trust her and can rely on her i see no point in not letting her.

  8. I used to babysit for my neighbour at 13. My parents were right next door in case anything ever happened.

If she is reliable enough not to just watch TV the whole night instead of actually checking on your child, then go for it.

  9. yes i would say that she would be a great babysitter!!

my sisters are 11 and 15 they watch my son and are really good.

  10. Yes, if I knew her well enough.

  11. It sounds like you have a lot of experience and have made an effort to make yourself a good "employee."  From your list, I would consider you as a babysitter.

If you are having difficulty getting babysitting jobs,  you may also want to examine how you come across:  are you neatly dressed, clean, etc.  You may also want to think about your vocabulary and word choice -- most parents prefer not to have their children referred to as "your kid."

    Best wishes!
