  1. be in Party mood it will be very busy, but mind you it always is. It is so worth it to go. they decorate the entire city and the champs-elysees looks so gorgeous

  2. I was there for the week between Christmas and New Years in 2006.  There were lots of people, lots of lights and decorations, and things to do.  Don't miss ice skating outside Hotel de Ville (the town hall).  Everything was open normal hours except on new years eve, shops and markets closed early that day.

I love Paris at any time of year. There is always stuff to see and do.  Late spring is especially nice because everything is green and blooming.  I'm going in the fall for the first time this year, so I will have to report back on that!

  3. I went to Paris at the beginning of December and loved it.  I went and seen the sights like the museums and the Eiffel tower.  I am from Louisiana, USA and I did not find the weather bad at all.  It was really pleasant.  The only time I got really cold was at night when I was on top of the Eiffel tower.  Paris is beautiful and I would say go for it.  I think you will enjoy yourself.

  4. Paris is interesting to be seen at all time.

At Christmas, you find some beautiful lights everywhere and some little markets outside....

The only thing is that you can have snow and some difficulties to drive in that case...but if you take the metro, no problem to see Paris...

  5. I have been to Paris for Christmas 4 times now. My experience of Paris and Parisians at Christmas has been one of pure joy and excitement. You will not find the massive holiday marketing that exists here in the US. Everything is subtle, elegant and simply perfect. Christmas trees can be purchased at local florists and are mounted on small logs like the old days. The air is filled with the excitement of Christmas, but you find the physical adornments - lights and other decorations - elegantly placed in stores, apartment windows and on street lights. It is so wonderful to just be in the city as it prepares for the celebration of Christmas. Everyone says bon noel and seems to be filled with the the joy of the holidays. I would totally encourage you to visit during this time and allow a Christmas of old to fill your heart. Have a great trip.

  6. It's beautiful! Lots of pretty decorations and you have to have a reveillon, dinner at midnight on Christmas Eve. Find a good restaurant and reserve early for it.
