  1. Definitely go to the Musee d'Orsay or Musee Rodin.  Also, the Hotel de Ville has some amazing illuminations at night.  From the top of the Centre Georges Pompidou after dark, you can have great illuminated views of popular attractions.  During the day, take the tourist bud around to the tourist sites.  Try to spend some time walking through neighborhoods.  If you're not there on a Monday, you could walk through a street market on rue Montorgueil or rue Mouffetard.  Stroll through the Palais Royal -- there are usually some interesting metal sculptures throughout the park.  Sit in a cafe and drink hot chocolate.

  4. what i loved just as much if not even more than the eiffle tower in paris was the louvre.. amazing, amazing, amazing. definatly worth the trip just to see leonardos da vinci, mona lisa. amazing. trust me, it is a must. Dont get overwhelmed however when you are there because i remember the tour guide telling us that if you spent 1 min in front of every tapestry/painting, it would take you 6 months to do the entire musuem. ! .. have fun, and do go to the louvre!

  5. The Seine river at night is amazing. The Louvre was my favorite museum. The historic Arc de Triomphe of course. I thought the Jardins des Tuileries (garden) was beautiful. If you are an art lover, I suggest going up to Montmartre. For shopping, take a walk down the Champs-Elysees. Notredame cathedral is great.

  6. Arc de triomph

  7. I would recomend that you go to the meetup site and find out what events are happening while you are there in the expats groups. There is surely a happy hour you could stop in and ask all the expats for their advice. They will know all the big places but also a lot of events happening at that time as well as some secret spots.

  8. you would love musee griven!! it's so awesome..it's a wax museum..they have stuff from the berlin wall, to charlemagne, celine dion, tomb raider, jackie chan..and my favorite! zizou wax!!it's an awesome museum..of course that is coming from a 17 year old..so maybe different opinions..

musee de marine is also nice, very big stuff in there like ships and statues and whatnot

malmaison..spelling maybe be weird..that's napoleon's half castle..kinda broken down now though..but it's very nice and the guards are hot

versailles is also nice, but it was very hot..i saw it in july and i nearly died from heat exhaustion... i went to marie antoinette corridor and it was "amazazing"

of course you've probably heard about the champs elysees...my favorite store on that avenue of course the roxy/quiksilver store...they have everything there, of course also the arc de triomph, it's very beautiful at night, take the metro and actually step foot on the sight

i also just liked chilling at the park in front of the eiffel tower..like once you get off trocadero station you walk out and see la tour eiffel you go down the many steps there are always teens and stuff performing stuff like dances or musically..and there is a park and it's just beautiful especially to relax..may not sound fun, but it really is nice..

get a table tennis tournement going at hte park! i learned the french loves their table tennis besides football.

get your picture drawn by an artist! there are many of those if you go see sacre coeur..it's a very nice little village..i do'nt think its a village, but thats what i call it..there are many many artist there..yes, with the hat and everything!! they are like 15-20 euros..so bring money!! because the metro is the best way to travel!!

much much more to see..so little time! have fun buddy!

  9. arch du triomphe theres not much to see just pass by it and ur done but the louve is another ovious and u can't skip that! then notre dame and stores!
