  2. I'm going in three weeks with my daughter and that's just about EXACTLY our whole itinerary!!!!

along with a few pavement cafes, a stroll down the river Seine, perhaps some Bistro's in the evenings, we will just see where our feet take us...

  3. I went to Paris about 3 weeks ago. I loved it, and what you have mentioned are all the main places to go!!

Parc Asterix (a theme park) is very good though. I would recomend that. If you like rollercoasters, like me, then go there! The 7 loop one is very good, but it is only about 2 mins long, and you literally que for like 1 hour and a half!

Yes, the Eiffel Tower is great too.

But that's really all I've got to say about it!!

  4. The Sacre Coure, it is a cathedral on top of a big hill that looks over part of the city, really cool.

Go to www.frommers.com has a list of all attractions with a brief description of each.

  5. I suggest the Cluny Museum (it has roman baths and the tapestries with the Lady and the Unicorn) as well as Luxembourg Gardens. Make a trip up to Sacre Coeur, as the view is beautiful, and the walk or bus ride through Montemarte to get there is amazing. I also suggest the Garden des Tuillieres (probably spelled that wrong) which is located between the Louvre and Champs Elysees. There was a carnival there when I went.

Just take your time, walk as much as you can, and enjoy.

  6. You should also visit:

the area around St Michel and the Jardin du Luxemburg (walk all the way down from the Notre Dame - its a beautiful walk)

L'Orangerie at the Tuilleries - Monet's water lillies are exhibited there together with Manet, Gaugin, Renoir, Sisley

L' Opera Garnier and the Galleries Lafayette area

La Defance - for a modern side of Paris

Rue Muffetard for shopping, crepes and French food

Sacre Coeur and Monmartre are simply exquisite

    St Germain Pres

Les Invalides where Napoleon is Buried

The Pantheon next to the Luxembourg Gardens

You should also take a cruise down the siene with the Bateaux Mouches

Bastille and Place Des Vosges which,  in my opinion is one of the most beautiful piazzas in Paris

And if you have time take a tour of the Pere Lachiase Cemetery - i know cemetries are not ideal for a holiday but this one makes a very intresting visit - Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison, Chopin, Champingon are amongst the most important people buried there.

  7. Pierre Herme, a hugely popular patisserie on Rue Bonaparte in the 6th district.  Try his famous macarons and verrines (artistic dessert in a glass)...and you get to keep the glass!  Yummy!  In the same area are the historic cafes like Cafe de Flore, Brasserie Lipp and Les Deux Magots, all on Blvd. St. Germain.  Very Parisian!  I wish I was there again!  Make sure you do your research...

Check out http://parisbreakfasts.blogspot.com/  and get in the mood for Paris!

    Bon voyage!

  8. La place des Vosges, la Place Vendôme, Le parc André Citroën, Les Invalides, le jardin du Luxembourg, le museum d'histoires naturelles, la Mosquée de Paris, le centre Pompidou, Le panthéon... There is something to see in each corner's street !

You can also go to Metz, a cute city of east of France, 1h20 from Paris in TGV (High Speed Train). I will be your guide ;-)
