Question:

Party ideas for my 18th?

In England... so I can drink, but I wanted to do something a little bit different with some of my friends- most of which are 17. Cheap, yet fun. My Birthday is also in October- so I will be expecting it to be quite cold outside. There are about 20 friends that I would like to invite.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

  1. Op Shop dress up can be affordable and fun. Can have a theme or make it formal. Crack up some of the outfits you can find in op shops.

  2. You could have a wet t-shirt contest, take pictures and send them to me.

  3. You could have local people try out to be the entertainment.

Offer like a great guitar player $20 to play at the party for two hours.

Offer someone else who does something entertaining another $20 for working the party the next two hours.

Then Use the rest on alchol (Kegs) and Cheese and Crackers or Bread and rolled up sandwhich meat with cheeses. Or wine.

By the time your two entertainers are finished your guests can just listen to some music or go home. (4 hours is a long party).

You could also ask some of your closest friends if they have any games they could bring. Buy 2 cheap disposable cameras and give them to 2 people to take some pics of the party.

You could also make jello shots for your friends too.

  4. I don't know if you have Halloween but even if you don't.  Maybe throw a costume party.  Everyone will be inside and warm.  Take keys and make them stay over if yall are drinking.

    Happy Birthday!

  5. I did this for my daughters 18th birthday. At first, the group of 31 kids thought it was stupid but, by the end of the night, they were hoping I would turn this into an annual event.

Try a "scavanger" hunt.  I made up a list of things; bobby pin, clothes pin, piece of yarn/ribbon, a book of matches, a band-aide, a button etc we had 25 things on the list then each team (we broke up into 3 because there were so many kids) but each team was given a set of 4 blocks to hit each house and the team with the most things on the list won a prize. I gave personal pan pizza gift certificates and like I said, this turned out to be a fun thing.

We then had a bon-fire and finished the evening.

  6. Go to an amusement park. Sometimes they have fun different stuff for halloween :) if you cant afford that have each person pay partial-way or see if you can get a group discount
