Passport Question??

Help, I need to know if i go to Tj in car and come back in car will i need a passport? Also i have my trip planned out to fly from Tj to Guadalajara on February 8th, 2008 and i read you just need 2 forms to proof your nationality, i am taking my birth certificate and drivers license. Will i need something else? Please help.

to leave your country - via flight you must have a passport, as far as driving as far as i know... i think your alright

I just came back and all i needed was id and birth cert.  and my passport was expired. so id and passport is ok! by plane yes

you will need to after january 31. and as far as driving accross the border untill jan 31  u need an id and cetificate. but after jan 31 u need a passaport. so when u go o guadalajara u will need a passport to cross the border. by the way have fun in guadalajara. my dad is from jalisco. from a town called arandas.u should go apply for a passport soon and ask for proof that u applied. just in case u have any problems. if u dont have a passport afte jan 31 i think ull get fined.

and i know this cause im always going to mexico.

You do not need a passport to drive to and from Mexico or to fly within Mexico yet.  see site below and read top half of page carefully for current info.
