Passport?do you need both?

do you have to buy both the passport book and the card?or can you buy just one?

You can buy either. I think what they're trying to do is phase out the book and do the card exclusively but I don't think that will happen for a while yet.  When I renewed, I bought both but if you want to buy just the book, that's fine too.

You can buy either one.  You don't need both.
