i have a windows XP computer

is there a way to put a password on a folder in my documents?

  1. You can't on a folder, but you can on a ZIP archive.  Put your files in a ZIP archive, then when you have it open in Explorer, right click and select "Add a Password."

  3. If you really want to make sure that the files you password are save i would recommend a program like true crypt It will allow you to password and encrypt the data in those folders. Be warned if you use this program and you forget your password that data will be unrecoverable.
