  1. I think it is important for Preschools to use their heads when doing art projects, BUT there is nothing wrong with having them do art from a pattern. I use them in my daycare and think they are a start for children that may not have developed an imagination yet or do not have the confidence to do an art project on their own.

I have a few children (School-age children) that will not use their minds to do art. Some children need a starting point and whats wrong with a pattern? You could do anything with a pattern. Glue things on that pattern and if it is not in the lines that's ok. It is the child's work. I do not feel that it was fair for The first guy to answer you like that. We all have different views on children and there is nothing wrong with that and PATTERNS do not hurt child.

I love all the web sites that were listed above in the second answer. I use them all the time.  Also Tracy from Sunny Lane Learning uses patterns all the time and i know this because i buy them all the time. If she uses them there is nothing wrong with them. You can get tons from her too.

  2. No,and if I did I wouldn't tell you. Preschool children should be using and developing their own skills and ideas, not using ideas from someone else.
