Paypal/debit card?

Question

I am 16 years old, have a drivers license, and my bank is Wachovia. Ive been interested in starting a paypal account on eBay but realized I needed a debit card/credit card and seeing that I am too young for a credit card I was wondering if I could open up a debit card account as a minor and how. Also if ppl could give me some pointers on how to work paypal that would rele mean a lot =]

hi there im 15 and have a debit card, and paypal account, what you do is go into your bank and ask for a debit card sent and wait for that when you get it go on paypal.com and sign up, it will ask for u to fill the form etc,,, of card details and then it will ask for u to verify the account and will put two small deposits in the account so u will have to ring up the bank for a statement to make your account reliable once that is don you can buy on ebay and if you sell something it goes into you online paypal account and you can withdraw the money from the account to your bank account ready if you want to withdraw it... etc and thats basically how it works

You should be able to open your PayPal account by linking it to your checking account without a debit card.  Check with Wachovia and see if you can get a card with your parents signature.

Yeah, I'm 16 too and I use my parents debit card for PayPal. I don't think 16 is old enough to open a credit card yourself though.
