Paypal protection?

hi i bought a watch from a private seller. it is not from ebay. i used paypal. if i find out the watch is a fake will i still be able to recover my money via paypal? thanks.

  1. Maybe.  But, you'll have to get it authenticated by a professional in the field and they have to state that it is fake on their own letterhead.  And PayPal will not reimburse you for this authentication process.

    PayPal doesn't offer great protection.  You need to trust the seller.  If you don't, then it's better to not buy it.

    You can also use http://www.escrow.com .  They hold the payment to the buyer until you release it, or until a certain amount of days has passed.  If the watch is fake, you tell escrow.com, send the watch back, and if the seller agrees, the money is released back to you.
