I filed a dispute with paypal and escelated to a claim (i'm the buyer). It says seller is asked to provide information by 25th August (10 days from when i filed it)... if he doesn't do that do I win automatically

  1. if he doesn't respond, yes. But paypal's customer service is pretty worthless.  He can respond with just about any kind of lies and paypal will close it and you get nothing.  Then they will just tell you some c**p like "we understand your frustration"


  2. Yes, this actually happened to me recently. The seller never responded so I was automatically refunded. However, if the seller does respond, you may have a tough time winning the case.

  3. If he doesn't respond to the dispute, yes you will win by default.

    If he provided a tracking number and usps shows it as delivered to your address, you will not get a refund.

  4. not all the time. sometimes when paypal "investigates" it they find no reason to give you back the money. Most of the time you do win but I think that there is 1 more step you have to go through.
