Paypal says Uncleared!!!?

Question

I sold an item on ebay, and the buyer paid me straight away but even after 12hours it still says the status is uncleared??

what do i do, post the item or wait it to be cleared?

please help, i have already been skamed on ebay twice

When a buyer pays me by e-check or credit card,it usually doesn't clear for a couple days.

Go to your PayPal account and click the details beside the person's name where they paid you,it will tell you when the payment is suppose to clear.

DO NOT SHIP ANYTHING UNTIL PAYMENT HAS CLEARED!!!

Do not send the item until the payment is cleared.  Likely, they paid with an e-check style, which means they require a direct bank transfer instead of backing with a credit card.  This can take two to three days to clear, and the buyer should be aware of this.

If a buyer seems fishy, has bad feedback, or asks you to do something you're uncomfortable with, cancel the transaction.  It's better to not get the sale than to be scammed!

However, it's probably just an e-check that takes time to clear.  Tell the buyer you will ship the item once the money has cleared.  If they're reasonable, they'll understand.

Yes, as others have mentioned wait until payment is cleared before sending the goods.

This also happened to me once when my paypal email was different from the email to which the payment was sent. So make sure you check that too.
