Coyotes are becoming bolder and are attacking many more people than they used to, especially toddlers. California has seen a marked increase in coyote attacks but even Massachusetts has.

Coyotes are protected by law, but they are hardly endangered. They are easy to kill. Even a four year old armed with an ax, spade, hammer, shovel or sizable knife could easily kill or drive off a coyote. They are helpless if you grab them by the back of the neck or by the tail (canines aren't flexible like cats). You can then very easily pin them by getting your legs around them and squeezing.

If you must, use a cigarette lighter against them, throw any kind of fuel or rubbing alcohol in their faces, douse them with bleach or ammonia, blast them with boiling water, shoot them with pellet guns, use a sword, a baseball bat, whatever. People are much smarter than coyotes and a lot stronger.

  1. LOL this is funny! well i kinda live in MA and I have never seen a coyote - mostly deer and turkeys. Thank you for the helpful info if i ever get attacked I will def. try to be smoking

  2. If you live in Massachusetts, there is a hunting season for those devils. Just about every state has a hunting season on the books for coyotes. Just make sure you understand the dates and the times when you can hunt them down. The protection they have under the law is to insure they are not wiped out.

  3. I doubt that a toddler would be able to lay it's hands on a bottle of rubbing alcohol or a pan of boiling water without catching it from his / her mom!
