it's getting very irritating it's starting to p**s me off. I've already told everyone to stop opening my mail a dozen times but they're still opening it. Is that even legal?

  1. its not legal and WHAT THE h**l IS WRONG WITH THEM?

why are they doing this, is there a reason? do they think theyre "filtering" junk for you?

i would tell them that what theyre doing is beyond a joke and that you will move out if it does not stop. i bet theyre in your bedroom going through your things. lock the door.

i would be fuming. bank statements, personal info etc!!!

  2. No it is not legal, this upsets me also you are not alone.

  3. The best solution is to get your own place.  Or your own post office box.  Or start mailing yourself some really NASTY stuff!!

  4. Opening someone else's mail without their permission is technically illegal, and an invasion of their privacy.  If I were you, I would try routing your mail to a PO box with a lock and key, to ensure that you and you alone are the one to open your mail.

  5. when i had that happening , even after I asked them to stop , I just reminded them that opening someone else's mail with out permission is a felony and it stopped.

Remind them its a felony or just get a P.O. Box

  6. It is illegal to open someone else's mail.  As a matter of fact, after the sender posts a letter, it instantly becomes property of the United States Post Office, and remains as their property until the addressee receives it.  So, in essence, when someone other than you opens your mail, they are committing a federal offense.

  7. That's illegal!!!

  8. It's not legal, but it happens.

  9. No, I don't believe that it is legal to open mail addressed to someone else.  Go rent a postal box and have your stuff delivered there.
