helo all. have a question to ask. if ure an expert. can u please estimate how much am i pressing if it correlates to benchpress. i weight 170lbs/77kg and i do weighted pushups with 120lbs/55kg person on my back. proper form. i do 14 reps in a row. all the way down all the way up. how much weight if it correlates to bench press? 170lbs person doing weighted pushups with 120lbs person on his back for 14 reps. and can u please extimate how much can i max out? one rep max bench press. and honestly, what do u think of this achievement for a guy who stands at 5'11 and weight 170lbs/77kg. thanks.

  1. I think you'd be better off asking this in health and fitness as opposed to Rugby.

    I know weights can be very important to being fit for Rugby but this question has nothing specific to Rugby in it. You'll get more experts in health and fitness as well.

I got a friend who pushes 180kgs and he is 79kgs.  it doesnt really mean much though because this is only good if it is going to do some good to your sport.  And if your talking rugby then you might want to look at running and fitness as opposed to doing 1 rep with heavy weights.  Then i have a Rugby mate who can only press 95kgs around your weight but he is a better rugby player then the other fellow.  So if it is relating to Rugby then it doesnt really matter if you can't run and tackle!!!!

  3. I agree, this isn't the place to be asking, but try out different weights and see how they work. start with a low weight at the beginning of course.
