They are so different that it is difficult even to compare them. I love Brazil....it is much closer to my culture that the States. But I love living here too.

Brazil is magic, this is what I think and the people are poor but have an high self-respect and a big desire to live and be happy. Also in front of difficulties they are able to love life and to enjoy it.

Maybe this is the reason why I am marring a Brazilian.

I have lived in Brazil for 24 years, in the USA for 12 years and in England for 4 years.  I love Brazil but the best deal is to live in Brazil and spend time each year in other places too.  I have it all!

first of all, we hate tourists. especially americans, and arrogant, ppl. no wonder so many tourists  here get kidnapped and robbed. just watch where youre going and leave your attitude at home, and dont get caught walking in the favelas

i was born in brazil and lived there til  lwas 15, i don't know if was because my family is bvery uptight, but i like US better, NY is my home town now and i just love is here, i was there last april..... i missed my distant family, cousings and aunts etc, but nothing like NY! i don't know i never went to carnaval or anything maybe that's what it is, lol!

I have been to Brazil many times....some visits have been for extended times (3-5 months) Brazilians love Americans to visit but, they do Not want us moving there. The Banking system is nothing short of a nightmare and the legal system would put terror into anyone.

   I know four people who moved there after retirement and they all came back within 6 months.
