People who have braces?

Question

Okay well i've been referred to a ortho for braces, so i'm going to get braces soon.

Any tips?

Is it painful, on a scale of one to ten?

No,when i got my braces on it wasn't painful at all. All they did was put this little box type thing in my mouth to keep it open,and then put them on. Afterwords it was a little sore,but ibuprofen or whatever you use for minor pain should help,on a one to ten,i would say 3. Hope this helps, good luck.

JUST TAKE ADVIL OR SOMETHING BEFORE YOU GO GET YOUR BRACES. I'VE BEEN HAVING BRACES FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS, AND TO BE HONEST.. I HATE THEM. IDK MAYBE ONCE I GET THEM OFF AND HAVE GREAT TEETH I WONT REGRET THEM, BUT AS FOR NOW... I DONT LIKE THEM..

BUT, I'VE ALSO HAD TO HAVE EXPANDERS PUT IT ( WIRES TO WIDEN YOUR MOUTH TO MAKE ROOM FOR YOU TEETH TO STRAIGHTEN) AND I'VE HAD MY WISDOM TEETH REMOVED.

I have braces, and when you first get them on, they just feel weird.  They don't hurt.  Until... like 4 or 5 hours later.  They were so painful I wanted to rip my teeth out. Advil works really well for braces.  Also, after like 3 days and you take advil and stuff, the hurt will stop until you like bite together.  It would take weeks for your teeth to be fully adjusted and not hurt at all.
