Pepperoncini nutrition

I eat tons of pepperoncini's out of the jar. I was wondering if that is unhealthy. Do they have any nutritional value or health benefits? Any cleansing benefits? Thanks!

  1. As a pepper it has vitamin C and E.  It might be unhealthy if there's a sodium issue.  If you have a sensitive stomach or ulcer, it could irritate your stomach.  Otherwise it should be fine.  I've heard the theory that capsaicin can help with losing weight and joint pain, but there isn't any actual verifiable proof.  If they don't bother your stomach, keep eating them.  (I love them too!)


  2. The jar you're eating out of has a label you might read to elucidate your mind as well as your tongue.
