Perfecting your toe-touch.?

I already know how to do a toe touch just not a high good one.. Does anyone know how to fix this like exercises or drills?

  1. Work on increasing the flexibility of your hips and when jumping focus on raising your feet up to the height of your shoulders.


  2. Here are some exercises to work on that will help your toe touches and all other jumps.

    First sit in straddle. Dont make it too wide, just a reasonable straddle is fine.

    Place both hands on either side of one leg and then lift the leg which your arms are next to up and down about 20 or so times.

    Repeat this on the other side.

    Do it as many times as possible, 2 - 3 times a day!

    This will help you roll your hips up to jump, working muscles that you would normally be unable to strengthen.

    Another exercise is to find a flat surface higher then what you are standing on. Something about knee height or higher if you want to improve your jumps further. Then jump up onto it, then back down.

    This will increase the height of your jumps and strengthen some of the main muscles in you legs.

    As for dropping your chest, make sure you jump up and gain the height in your jump before pulling your legs up. Snap them down quickly and just keep in mind that even though it is called a toe touch you want your toes to go up not literally touch them.

  3. I would try doing it on a trampoline at first

    and if ur great at that then i would

    start stretching out more in ur splitz

    try and touch ur head to ur knee 50 times.

    That will probably help u :)

  4. if you dont already, try to get as low as possible in your middle split. practice them on a trampoline or with ankle weights on which will help you go higher.

  5. stretch your legs everyday. justpractice, practice, practice. use ankle weights when practicing. crouch down on the floor then do a toetouch. when you do one dont bend and reach for your toes =]
