  1. It is a normal thing, It happend to my girlfriend too, so take it easy everything will be fine!

  2. Take two Tylenol Menstrual and if you have a heating pad, put it on your stomach. It helps a lot =]

  3. when your at home then get a hot water bottle lay it where it hurts and keep it there and relax.

  4. Midol.

A heating pad(you're parents/grandparents know what they are) the heat relives cramps.

    Hot bath.

  5. take some advil and for instant relife (sometimes) take a warm bath.

    good luck!

    hope you feel better!

  6. Awww, I remember when it was still new...  try some advil or ibuprofen.  A heating pad helps too.

  7. take some kind of pain reliever and use a heating pad

  8. midol iboprofin http://www.fwhc.org/health/moon.htm theres a web ty to read all might help you

  9. take midol or a pain reliever

  10. midol

  11. OK...firstly the cramps.

    1) Having a hot bath or shower really helps the pain.

    2) Also - nurofen helps with the pain for some people (my doctor told me it was better than paracetamol and other non prescribed drugs.

    3)hot water bottle :)

    4) eating healthily (i usually ignore this one...eating my fave junk food works just as well ;D)

    5) drinking lots of water can help too.

    6) lying down and rubbing your stomach can help.

    7) exercise!

    8) i have heard that putting a lot of pressure on your stomach helps (apparently some people have told someone else to stand on them...but i wouldn't recommend this cause the pain from the period wont last long...and 100 pound person standing on you might hurt for longer :P)

    9) DONT LET THEM RUIN YOUR DAY...i have fallen victim to this and missed out on stuff i wanted to do...now i regret that decision.

    other stuff....

oh and if you want to...wear 2 pairs of underwear...it definatley helped me feel more comfortable.

one thing i have learnt.....ALWAYS carry around at least one pad in your pocket or bag   xD

shange your pad/tampon every 2-4 hours (apart from at night) to stop infections.

Make sure you clean down-there every day to feel clean and fresh.

You could also buy a body spray and use it on the tops of your legs and bottom of your abdomen...and clothes that your wearing to prevent any smell that there may be (there probably wont be though!)

check out this website...i found it really helpful when i first started.... www.beinggirl.com

    good luck :)

  12. Hey :]

You became a woman :P God, I sound like my Yiayia.. She wanted to give me "the talk" today...

Take a "Teen Midol" or "Advil". There are special advils for your period called "Tylenol Menstural" and they work great.

You can also take a bath in hot water. It feels amazing when you have your period :P

I reccomend going to the drug store with you're Mom, Dad or someone you trust and like and get this list:

    -Pads

    -Overnight Pads

    -Pantie Liners

    -Midol ect..

-Whatever you're craving EX: Chocolate, Chips.. .

Relax. It will happen every month for a while...

Also mark it on your calendar... I use red nail polish to put a dot on my calendar...

    Good Luck :]

  13. Midol and pamprin are c**p. Take ibuprofin and heating pads definitely work. My cramps get so bad I can't walk and that's what I do.

  14. ask ur mother to pick you up some midol (for teens) at the drug store, it will calm ur cramps and stop you from bloating, or lay down on ur back and heat up a heating pad and put it on ur stomache, the heat will help calm them down, and its normal to get really bad cramp when u first start ur period. its something all women go threw, theres not really much that can help.

  15. Advil works really well with cramps and headaches if you get the during periods.

    Hmm, some "period info"?

Well . . . don't think it's weird to, at first, have some big spaces in between periods instead of every single month. It's normal to skip at first or even not have it all for like three months.

Whenever your sleeping over somewhere make sure you bring more pads and underwear then you would at first think to bring - you never know when your gonna need extras.

    Ummmmmm.

    Idkk (:

  16. There is probablt medication that will help, but i would reccommend seeing a doctor.

  17. try buying a heating pad they releive cramps. get some midol just in case the heating pad doesnt take care of the problem. just try and talk to your mom or another female that you trust  for advice on what you should do

  18. Midol ...its a miracle worker it'll relive all those unwanted period problems (cramps, bloating, fatigue). The site below is also a great reference to any period questions and all that jazz

  19. bad cramps may be endometriosis, or just PMS symptoms

I dealt with bad cramps all thru my teenage years.  All I could do was dose up on pain meds and curl up with a heating pad.  Excercize and diet do help..  try to avoide caffiene and junk food about a week before your period.

You may also want to talk to your mom about a low-dose birth control to help with the cramping.  It made a BIG difference when I finally put myself on it as an adult.  I really wish I had known about it as a teen!

  20. what helps me with cramps is alieve, and a heating pad.

    also sweat pants.

sometimes I have to leave school or work or w/e.

I don't really know what other period info you want but yea.

  21. From all the cramp problems I hear about, I consider myself lucky - I'm on my second period, and have not been bothered by cramps at all!

  22. The cramps are from the passing of blood clots, it's normal to experience cramping.  Walking, apply a heating pad to the area, or taking tylenol all help with the pain.  If you normally wear tampons you should which to pads because the tampon cannot absorb a blood clot.  Since you are new to having your period don't be surprised if your period is completely different next month, or if you don't have one at all.  It takes a few years for the period to regulate itself so you will experience many skipped periods and a variation between light and heavy bleeding.

  23. Tell your parents about how you're feeling when you get your period. It's very important to tell them about how you feel. Explain to them where it hurts and how often it hurts. Don't worry everyone gets cramps when they start their period. Tell them to get some medicine after you've explained to them about the pain. Oh! and also it helps alot to sleep on your right side when you take a nap or go to bed.

    Hope This Helped! =D

  24. Take some motrin or advil. Walk around. Although it may feel worse to get up after being active for a few minutes your cramps will get better. Good luck!

  25. dont take all that c**p midol it doesnt help get the liquid advil pills and take for they work!!!!!

oh and get a heating pad and put it where your cramps are.

i have the same prob every time i have mine. sux

  26. depending on where the cramps are you might have to take different things.

i take gasx when im on my period and thats all.

    Best of Luck :]

  27. Tylenol or Midol helps.   A heating pad on your lower stomach will help too. Make sure not to be too cold at times other wise it makes the cramps worse. And wear comfortable clothes that don't press on your stomach. And when buying pads buy ones for sensitive skin. It helps a lot.

  28. maybe you are eating or drinking to many cold stuff, when you do that your body cools down too much and suddenly stops your period. doing this is also a cause of cramps.

  29. Advil.

Later on you can be put on birth control it is a life saver for cramps.

    midol

  30. Try feminex.

they are specially for periods  and they work brill!!

  31. When you get your period, take alieve for cramps. It works really well. Also use a heating pad placed over the lower part of your tummy. This will greatly help. Be sure to also keep track of when your period comes. The average is every 28 days. It may take a few cycles before you determine what is normal for you. Be sure to always keep pads or tampons on hand. Stock up for your next period when the one you're currently on is over. This way you will protection if your period happens to come early. Things will get easier. Good Luck
