Period related issue please help!?

Here's my issue. My friend JUST invited me to the beach. It took all of five minutes after I hung up the phone and accepted her offer to discover that my period just came, and almost a week and a half early too which is somewhat shocking since it's usually late. I don't know what to do. After I stopped cringing at the fact that I almost wore white shorts today (scary thought) I've come to my big problem. I don't know how to use a tampon. I've put one in but it always hurts when I try. I need to be able to do this by tomorrow, so can anyone give me some nice suggestions? I really can't bale out on my friend, I haven't seen her in a loooong time, but I can't go down the shore in a bathing suit without a tampon.

the pain is prolly because you didnt get it in all the way either try the slim fit ones or sports by playtex and put one leg on the floor and the other on the toliet and insert it to where the top part of the tampon is half in then push the bottom of the tampon so it goes in..if you try to insert the plastic a little more in then you have been doing it might feel a little better. good luck and hope you figure it out.

That really sucks...but i think you should just go to the beach with her and try to avoid the water.I mean you don't know how to use a tampon right?Well its eazy you just stick it in and thats it...if it hurts well maybe cus your not used to them yet but just try them you'll see everything will be ok and don't worry to much...worring gets you wrinkled...LoL!

alright, the first thing is to remain calm, trust me it even says it on the box...

ok so here is some suggestions, you could go without one, and then just go in teh water a lot, from the sounds of it you arent that old, so maybe your period isnt horribly that bad...

but as tampoon goes, this is gross but stand over like a tub or put your leg up on the toliet, so your legs are spread, lol

then get a mirror and place it below you so you can see what you are doing, place the tampoon at the bakc part lol and put the top part of it "Up" not pushing the bottom part yet, when you have it like that hold the bottom of the top part and push in the bottom, until it goes all the way in... be patient and cool, it may take a few time, i wasted almost half a box my first time....:D

dont forget to take it out at least every 5-6 hours,

take out is pretty easy to figure out i am sure...lol

relax and ont tense your internal muscles follow the instructions on the packet and bobs your uncle sometimes if it hurts u might not have pushd it in fr enough n just try pushing it up! remember dont panicx
