Perpignan to Figueras???

Question

Does anybody know the distance from Perpignan in France to Figueras, Spain? I would love to get to see the Dali exhibition etc...

Anything else worth seeing around this area?

I did it, the distance given above sounds about right, it's pretty fast with the highway. After visiting the Dali museum we went to the coastal village of Cadaques where he had a house. Very cute and quaint, but it looks closer on the map than it is. It's a long, winding road and seemed to take forever in a lunar, dry landscape. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadaqu%C3%A...

Both places are great. If I remember well, Dali was baptised in the church of Figueras, I remember it being more or less across from the museum, but I could be wrong. If you have time, drive along the coast of France south of Collioure (you must stop there!) just before the Spanish border. Better even is to walk along the hiking trails between Collioure and Banyuls.

@ David: someone had told me why it is sometimes called Figueras, sometimes Figueres but I forgot. Maybe one is the Catalan name and the other the Castillian name, something like that?

EDIT: Yes, I just checked, that's the reason. Figueras is the Spanish name, Figueres is Catalan. http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Figueras (and in French Figuières! I didn't know it had a French name too! I guess it means where figs grow...)
