So I love my little meowie, but d**n, it is hard to find a good apartment without this extravagant deposit fee. I know that Pet fees are high for a reason, but come on, you know? I live in Las Vegas, NV and commute to Nellis AFB daily. Any help? Especially websites! Thanks!

  1. I would search the internet for it. I'm sure you have already. It takes a while. Internet, newspapers. Maybe put an ad in the paper to let your area know you are looking. Usually if they don't allow pets they would if it's just a cat. My boyfriend talked them into letting the cat stay. Cat's aren't as big of a deal as dogs are. I too am looking for an apartment for next summer. Good luck!

  2. All I can think of is to buy the local newspaper and look in the housing section to find web sites of property management companies that tend to the apartments in your area.

It is annoying how high the deposit for pets is but don't be discouraged it is better to find a great apartment than jump on the first one and find out the neighbors are jerks or that the manager is.  Good luck with the search!
