  1. the flea stuuf i get from my vet only cost like $11.00 and thatas really not that bad.

  2. take your pets on a day trip somewhere, or put them in a kennel for a day.. and set of a flea bomb.

  3. You have to fog your house, spray your yard, and dip your dog, all on the same day...

Leave the house for a minimum of 2 hours and then let it air out really well before bringing rover back into the house...Also, don't let him in the yard until the spray is completely dry...

And you don't need the expensive stuff from your vets office...You can buy stuff at kmart or walmart that will work just as well..Just make sure you buy stuff that says it has a "residual"...Meaning it won't allow flea eggs to hatch...Good luck !

  4. Aboric Acid

  5. You can buy flea medication from petsmart or another local pet store. It should be under $40, and it comes with 4 cases for either cats or dogs.

  6. front line is good.

  7. The only way we were able to get rid of flees was bug bomb every room in the house. It wasn't that expensive(unless you have a huge house). Then while the house is being bombed you need thoroughly wash or have washed your pets with a shampoo that kills flees. This worked for us and we didn't have to buy the expensive flee treatment. However we also had our yard sprayed for flees by the bugman to keep the pets from getting them again. That is the key really, is to take the flees out of your yard. Because with the flee treatment you will have to continue applying it because if you stop the flees outside will get back on them. It can get expensive over time to keep buying the treatment to ward off fleas in your yard. So solution is to rid your yard of fleas and be done with it. Thats where the pets got them and this whole thing will happen again if the flees outside gets on your pets. Thats also why you need to kill the flees in your house. Because any left in your house will just continue to breed, and those ones will feed on you too. I'm not sure they have human flee shampoo lol. I don't know if you can afford the bug people, but i dont think its super expensive if they just do it once. Best of luck

  8. There is no good way, sorry.  You need to get the pets on some sort of flea medication.  Advantage is quite reasonably priced and is very safe.  Revolution is more expensive.  The types sold at pet stores are of varying safety and quality, I honestly would never use them on or near my pets.  Whatever you do, please do not buy the Hartz brand flea drops for cats.  These have caused the death of many cats and should not be on the market.

You'll also have to treat the house.  Apparently flea bombs can work, but the best solution is to have an exterminator come in.  That way you will likely only have to treat once.  Many products sold in stores only kill the fleas on contact, so if a flea does not come in contact with the product it's free to keep reproducing.

After the house is flea free be sure to keep you pets on a preventive treatment for the rest of the flea season.  It's honestly much cheaper, and easier on all, in the long run.
