  1. try a camillion their great pets

  2. i think rats are a great pet. u can carry them around and they are really cute.

  3. A rat!!

  4. hmmmm ... well isn't a little sister a pet on it's own?

  5. To be honest with you---I highly recommend a corn snake.  They are gorgeous snakes, they're calm, they don't mind a frozen food source if started early, they're relatively inexpensive, they know their 'master' and will often 'perk up' when their master(s) walk into the room.

They are not poisonous, they're not territorial, they're not aggressive.  They're docile.

My husband and I have one, and she has never bitten us, never shown any signs of aggression.  Google 'corn snake' and you'll find lots of information on them.

Since you already have a home for him or her---I think it would be a great choice.

This is coming from a woman who HATED snakes.  They scared the life out of me---until I met Candycorn.  Lovin' her!

Good luck in your pet search and pleaseeeeeeee let us know what your sis decided on.  =)

  6. Gerbils make very nice pets.

I just got one yesterday, and I'm already in love with her. They don't bite much, and are very playful.

Gerbils are desert animals, so they don't drink much water. Less water intake=less urination. As for food you should but high quality gerbil food. You should refill their food bowl every 2 or 3 days. (No, they don't eat much)

They love anything they can knaw,or crawl through. Leave a toilet paper roll (only the cardboard part) in and they'll crawl through it, and tear it apart! It's actually hilarious to watch,

You can hold them in a 10 gallon aquaruim with a screen lid. Make sure to put paper (newspapers, ads, etc.) on the bottom, followed by a layer of cedar and pine FREE shavings. They love to run on exercise wheels as well.

Some gerbils like the exercise ball, some don't.

  7. Rats are wonderful pets for younger kids. But I would make sure the cage is right for one. If their head can fit threw the bars then their body can too. you just have to be careful.
