the wires came apart from the phone jack (that leads into the apt) which is located in the closet. the jack had a .

from one source which i'll call #1 (red, green, yellow, black individual wires) it looks like ONLY the "red & green" are wired onto a jack board (there's no cover so it's exposed - the red is going/wired onto one conductor and the green onto the other.

then there are 2 more sources which have multiple wires of many colors. it looks like there are from source (which i'll call) #2 (3 white wires, 3 red wires, 2 blue wires and 1 orange wire - these wires have exposed tips which means some of them were wired to Source #1 (which are the single red and green wires).

the problem is that i have no idea which wires to wire from Source #2 to Source #1.

the 3rd source (multiple colored wires almost the same as source #2) may not have been configured to the jack (though it looks like there are 3 white wires and 2 blue wires that have been used/bare tips @ some point).

so i'd like to wire Souce #2 to Source #1 - just don't know which wires go to the red and green wire on the jack piece.

your advice is appreciated
