  1. did your printer come with a program for printing? or do you have printing wizard( on pc) the programs do the resizing on their own. when you hit print do you get options on that sometimes you see a preview of what is going to print and on size you put 4x6.

  2. 4" x 6" (10cm x 15cm)  at unknown resolution,

    1023 x 767, at 72 pixels resolution is 14.21" by 10.65 ",

    . . . . ". . . ., at 144 pixels resolution is 7.10" by 5.33 ",

    . . . . ". . . ., at 300 pixels resolution is 3.41" by 2.56 ",

so check resolution, and then print size to make smaller or larger, 300 resolution is better for printing, verify width by height or visa versa,

    at 300 res, 4" by 5.33 " is 1599 by 1200

    at 300 res, 4.5" by 6 " is 1800 by 1351

    ..

  3. You'll have to crop a half inch off the short side to make it fit a 4x6. In other words you'll need to reduce the short side by 85 pixels so it is 682 pixels long.

  4. Just take the original image file into your local lab and have them make a 4x6 inch print from it.  You don't have to do anything to it.  They will print it and all will be well.
