Sorry if this isnt in the correct category,I dont usually ask questions other than on the R&P section. Lol. Ok,Im not exactly an expert when it comes to lowering/increasing the sizes of pictures, and there's this contest for a band thing....Anyways, the requirement is that it has to be a 2"x3" picture at 300dpi quality.

And I have absolutely no idea how to do this. I took a picture using my camera phone,so what would I have to do next? Thanks so much =)

  1. There is a resizing function in Photoshop or even Microsoft Paint that will let you resize the picture.  Usually they will ask for a resize factor or new dimension of the picture.  To get 2"x3" at 300 dpi you will need the picture size to be 600 pixels by 900 pixels.

You may want to CROP the picture first to make sure that when you resize that the proportion is kept the same. (i.e. a picture originally 600 pixels by 1200 pixels will end up losing the picture's aspect ratio and you'll get a "squished" picture.)
