Photographing a naked child??????

hey, got a question... I was at the beach today with a group of children and a lady (she was kinda wierd) was with the local paper there and was doing an article on one of our group. WELL>>> she was of caourse taking pics and we were sitting down to lunch when she started snapping pics from somewhere behind me, i turned around and there was a young child (4 or 5) that had taken off her swimsuit (unknown to the mother) and was trying to change herself. The photographer was taking pics of this baby and then she just left...this child was not in our group...children that are naked dont bother me in the least, i have 4 and know they like to shed there clothes, but someone taking pics does, i dont know why she would need that for her story...what do you think???

I would have (loudly) said something to her and the mother. You cannot take nude pictures of children like that.

Haa haa that is really odd. Maybe she thought it was a cute photo and just snapped some pictures.  I know photographers will see something and try to capture life, and she probably thought it would make a great picture for her collection.  However that is someone elses child, so it is a little off base if you ask me.  I wonder if she didnt have the woman sign a release without your knowledge, like maybe before you got to the beach.  Otherwise she cant use the photos for anything other than personal use.  Well I dont know maybe she can.  People take pictures of celebs all the time.

I think it's bizarre since she didn't know the kid!!!  If I caught some random person taking pics of my naked kid I'd flip!  My husband would probably be in prison for the things he'd do to this person!!!

It was probably innocent. But people , including parents, should be more careful about this stuff.  A lot of parents take pics of their kids naked--and they are cute--until their child is a teenager and then they don't think they are all that cute.

My Mom had this one of me when I was about three walking naked on my knees in a cross legged yoga style. She showed it to people--and it was funny. But when I got older I really hated it. If parents take pics like this, they should really be kept private--at least until the child is old enough to not care or consent--I don't care about that pic of me anymore--I think it is hilarious

Absolutly Not that is not normal and because she took pics without the parents permission should not be allowed period. I hope she dosnt do anything bad with the pics. If I was the parent and caught her taking pics of my child like that I would take the d**n camera away from her chunk in the water. Needless to say I would go postal on her ***.

I think (hope) it was probably innocent, but very inappropriate.  At the very least she should have asked the mother's permission.

I think that is totally wierd and I'd definately contact who ever they are working for or if they are indipendent then I'd contact athorities

that is strange. if i were the parent of the photographed child i would want to at LEAST speak to this woman before she left with those pictures! she needed that mother's permission in my opinion and i think that is wrong for her to just leave.
