Photography problem please help?

I ordered a 7x7 blurb photo book. The book preview looked fine, but when I recieved my book some of the images were cut off. Why?

the digital camera has an aspect ratio which can be set. The problem is when you set for certain megapix of images, the camera will shoot the picture set for 5x7 for example. The photo shop computers are default set for 4x6 and zooms in on the center of your photo. Hence, some heads get chopped off on the top and some people get cut off on the sides.

This is very common and there is nothing you can do about it except to remember to leave a lot of room on the sides and at the top.

Too keep this problem from happening again, I do this when getting prints.

Add a large white (or black border) to your digital print. Then order the next size up larger print.

Then just cut the print yourself with a paper cutter.
