Photography programs?

Gimp, Picasa and Photoscape are all great photography programs. I've been using them for the last couple years and haven't be disappointed.

yes i happen to have used paint.net  before i got photoshop, it is is very useful.

Gimp is probably the one most similar to Photoshop in functionality.

For the casual user, I recommend Picasa because it's free and easy to use as well as having a pretty good organizer.
