can the electron transport chain continue to produce NADPH if there is no CO2?

can you please explain it too

  1. The answer is no.  The pool size of NADPH is quite small.  Also, CO2 fixation is the dominant process that oxidizes NADPH to NADP.  If NADP is unavailable then the electron transport system has no where to dispose of the electrons produced by photolysis of water.  So, under these circumstances electron transport stops.
