okay here's the deal... I am currently workinh 3rd shift @ walgreens making $7.50 and hour 30 hours a week. I have just been offered a job @ wal-mart making 7.40 an hour first and second shift at around 30 hours a week. If i work both jobs i will not see my wife for days on end for more than a few mins a day, and only get about three hours of sleep a day. So i've decided to just work one job, but the problem is which one? walgreens pays a little more but is farther from home, wal-mart on the other hand is closer to home and better hours. (i'm getting too old for the third shift c**p) so do you guys have any advice?

  1. You should do what is best for you. I didn't do the math concerning the per hour pay. But if the job paying more is farther away and is harder to handle because of the shift time....pick the less paying one...you will most likely make up the 10 cent diff  saving on gas. Regarding the answer someone else gave to you about Project Payday...don't waste your time nor your money...it's not worth it. Been there , done that.

  2. I would take the Wal-Mart until you find something else...there is always UPS or Fedex. Wal-Mart is not a good place to work for a long period.SLOW to promote and PAY well. Also-depending on what state you live-If you have any disability or injury-they may send you to learn a trade+FREE. Tx does that. Too-you may look into the technical trade schools...they offer many classes. The options are ENDLESS. This is YOUR future. YOU make your life what YOU want. Pray-God always comes through. Go get the book "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne..it is faith based, Oprah backs it , and it/God will change your life to be what YOU want...STOP SETTLING for "chump change"....CHANGE YOUR LIFE AND EXPECTATIONS TO A HIGHER LEVEL. Wal-Mart is NOT the answer long term.

  3. Go for the day shift - if you're going to work a crappy job with crappy pay then you might as well get the benefit of being able to spend time with your family and not spending your income in gas
