As of now, Pierce. Melo still has a lot of time to grow and mature, you simply can't compare a veteran baller with one that's only played for a few years.

man i like melo way more then pierce. yes melo doesn't flop as much as pierce. also it took pierce 10 years in the league to win a championship, with 2 all stars. melo has another scorer with him, not really a good duo. athletic wise, melo has him there, leadership wise, pierce is good. i think melo still has a lot to prove, he got like 4 more years to get a championship like pierce

Pierce is so much better than Melo. The Nuggets have been out in the 1st round of playoffs for a couple of times. Also Melo plays absolutely no defense and he has a future HOF on his team but can't lead them to the WC semis. He gets more DUI's then he gets assists per game. He sucker punches and chokes people when he get mad. He is purely overrated. Pierce on the other hand is a great player, he is a great captain and he is a way better defender than Melo would ever be. He plays team basketball and is a clutch shooter. Pierce > Melo

Pierce. Melo is a dominant scorer. But Pierce gets the nod because of his defense. Melo is notorious for playing as Steve Kerr calls it, "Matador defense". He'll look like he's playing defense but then give up dunks and open shots in order to get down to the other end of the court for a quick shot.

Paul Pierce is just so passionate. His game has a defensive edge as well. I can't remember how many times he embarrassed Kobe by stripping him this year in the Finals. His offense is dumb crazy good too.

as a Celtics fan, i'd have to go with Paul Pierce. even though Pierce isn't as talented as Carmelo Anthony, he can still get the job done and score a good amount of points. plus, he doesn't get into trouble (DUI arrest, Knicks fight, etc) like Carmelo.

PIerce has one championship and Finals MVP. How many does Melo have? I don't think it is as many as the one that Pierce has, so I m gonna guess NONE!!! Its all about the rings, and Pierce has one more than Melo.

The only thing that Melo has more of than Pierce is punches thrown and then running away like a sissy. Melo isn't a man like Pierce. Pierce wouldn't run away like a sissy.
