Piercings question....?

Ok so im 18 and female and im currently debating whether to get either a NOSE, EYEBROW or MONROE piercing.

Ive had my nose pierced before but they did it with a gun (so i dont know what its like with a needle) and i took it out because of school, but now ive left school and im not sure whether to get it done again.

I love eyebrow piercings but ive heard they are often rejected by your body. Is there any way you can prevent this (ive heard taking zinc tablets works??)

I think the monroe piercing is the one im most unsure of. The main thing is the scar it will leave if i decide to let it heal up.

SO... id just like some general info about each of these piercings...

such as painful/not painful... healing times... downsides..?

And DONT answer if ur just gunna say piercings are wrong or ANYTHING like that. thanks in advance [=

  1. Eyebrow:

There isn't anything you can do to prevent rejection, but basically if you have a prominent brow it's less likely to reject - it's more likely to if there isn't really enough tissue to pierce.  This really doesn't hurt too bad, it's just like a hard pinch.  Mine took about two months to heal, and I hear this is around average.

    Nose:

This does hurt, but the pain is over very quickly. DEFINITELY get it done with a needle.  Mine was healed in just over six weeks - the downside is that for a girl this is a less original piercing than the other two, but it is more likely to look good.

    Monroe:

I don't have one myself, I don't think they look very good, but anyway I have been told that they heal in around two months, and that the pain is not too bad.  I've heard it is less painful than having ear cartilege pierced.

    Good luck!

  2. The eyebrow statement is true. And I don't really think that taking the zinc tablets will really help you. I think that your best bet would be to go with the monroe or the nose piercing.  The monroe piercing I have gotten before, and it does not hurt extremely but you do feel some pain. Just think of what you want the most for your body to have......which one you will keep the longest.

  3. I have my eyebrow done. I did have two in my eyebrow, but I closed one up and now I only have one. I've had it for 11 years and my body never rejected it or my second when I had it. The only downside is that the one I closed did leave a scar. Not big, but slightly noticeable. It doesn't bother me, but some people might be bothered by it. Do what you like and have fun. Hope I helped.

BTW, I have found these kinds of piercings to hurt less than the gun when done.

  4. Well I have both my nose and a monroe. The nose was the easiest, least painful of the two. My monroe was quite an adventure. I have a lot of veins in my upper lip that were in the way of the ideal placement. So I had to get it in a different spot. The monroe also hurt A LOT, probably due to the fact that my lip muscles are insane because I have been playing wnd insturments for ten years. Noses are cute piercings, just get it with a needle instead of a gun. Its much safer that way. And for the eyebrows, I have always thought they butch a girl out.

  5. if you get your nose repierced it will hurt more than the first time from the scar tissue. but ireccomend the nose piercing just be careful when you sleep. i hear many stories of people waking up searching for their nose ring
