I have a recipe for duck and it calls for pineapple orange juice. And I have some pineapple juice and orange juice in the refrigerator. I was wondering if there is a certain ratio of each.

  1. I'd just mix half and half.

  2. PINEAPPLE-ORANGE SAUCE

    Yield 8 Servings

    Ingredient:

1 can (20-oz) pineapple chunks (in juice); undrained

    ½ teaspoon Orange peel; grated

    ½ cup         Orange juice

    1 tablespoon Cornstarch

    1 tablespoon Granulated sugar

    1 teaspoon Ground ginger

Combine pineapple, 1/2 cup orange juice and 1 teaspoon orange peel with remaining ingredients in a saucepan.

Cook, stirring constantly until sauce boils and thickens.

    Cool.

hope this helps.                   good luck and enjoy.

  3. If it is for the marinade, do it how you would like. If you prefer orange juice to pineapple, or the other way around, then add a little more of either one. Cooking is nice because you can add a little of this or a littel of that and still have wonderful results. You may even try subbing another kind of juice altogether.

  4. I'm not sure what an exact ratio would be, but if you have each juice you could make it sweeter or more tart by adding one or the other.  Usually a mixture of orange-pinapple is predominantly orange juice, in maybe a 3-1 ratio.

  5. Go with 1/2 and 1/2. Half of each.
