Pioneer hed unit wont work?

Question

i have a brand new pioneer head unit that i wired up to my civic and all it does is flash around to volume circle k**b. the screen doesnt turn on, does anyone kno y? heres the head unit http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/Source/CD-Players/DEH-P3000IB

yo, nice radio did u touch any wires or any wires touch that not spposed to??? check and re-check the wiring use the manual,,, hold on you better have a wire harness and not that cut-wire-radio to-car wires B.S. its 08 we don't cut car harnesses NOMORE, so check wires    manual   if needed get thecar harness  and do it right connect the antenna,,,

YOU MAY WANT TO TEST THE RADIO STRAIGHT TO THE BATERY OF YOUR CAR 1ST ...TO DO THAT GRAB THE WIRES ON YOUR HARNEST  ...RED AND YELLOW ...STRIP THE 2 WIRES ...TIE THEM TOGETHER..THEN PLACE THE GROUND ON THE BATTERY..AND SEE IF IT WORKS ..AND IF IT DOES WORK ...THE GROUND OR BATTERY OR MEMORY  CONECTION ON YOUR CAR MAY BE WRONG..
