Pioneer or Kenwood?

Question

I'm trying to decide between these two head units to replace the stock cassette player in my '93 Corolla

Does anyone have any expertise when it comes to comparing these things? The Kenwood would fit my needs but it's a bit ugly compared to the sleeker looking Pioneer...is it worth spending an extra $20 just to get a nicer looking unit? Or are there any other justifications for me to go for the Pioneer over the Kenwood?

listen to Always, the Pioneer is the better buy because it can play MP3s and WMAs

spend the 20 and go with the pioneer can never go wrong with them loved mine til the day i sold the car

Honestly, they both suck but are better then stock so go with whichever one you want, neither is better then the other I promise you.

You've got questions to ask yourself.  Are you planning to upgrade your car audio in the future?  Subs, amplifiers, speakers, HD Radio, Satillite Radio, iPod, etc?  Or is it a basic ol playing the radio and CD's?  Burn discs, or listen to MP3.

With both units, you are limiting yourself.

Both are 2v pre-amp.  Both only have 2 pre-amp outputs, no room to expand (iPod, HD Radio, Sat. Radio, USB, etc.)

You are looking at pretty much to basic units.  Your Pioneer can play CD-R and -RW, and so can your Kenwood, but your Kenwood can not play any MP3 files or and WMA files.  If you burn CDs with .mp3, your Kenwood will not read your CD.

To be honest, i wouldn't get either.  Get a better unit, but if i HAD to choose, i'd say Pioneer.  Although, i am a HUGE Kenwood fan when it comes down to headunits.

Look for a higher voltage pre-amp, more pre-amps, USB, Sat Ready, iPod Ready....just a couple of suggestions.

the pioneer stereo is the best out of the two and you want the best don't you...well don't you? yes then forget about the kenwood

or maybe u keep asking this question again because you want us to tell u to get the kenwood in which case u should because it's what u really want right?
