India is a large country and you can either pick and choose some place to visit which would be mean a lot of travel ling or you could visit one part of the country. Say you want to visit the north - then you could visit Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Agra and Khajuraho. All these places are linked by air from Delhi. You will find the most amazing historical buildings, palace, shopping and in Khajuraho 11 - 12th century temples with the most beautiful carvings. The best time to visit would be from November to February.
