Plane Ride Experiance?

So when i was flying home, my ears were poping, most went away after yawning, but one did not, it got worse, a few minutes ater we started o descend very fast and my right head began to get the worse headache in a couple of months. wy did i get a head ache sudenly its never happened before when i was landing on a plane.

  1. This is caused by a pressure differential built up in your ear. some people suck on candy, some chew gum, I find yawning works best for me. It is possible, as you experienced, to not be able to equalize the pressure in your ear. I'm going to take a guess and say you have, had, or are getting a cold.

    When this happens, and normal remedies such as yawning or chewing do not work there is one trick used by scuba divers that usually always does the trick. It is as simple as pinching your nose and closing your mouth while blowing gently. The goal is to blow just hard enough to "pop" your ears. It will take a little force, but not much. You should immediately feel relief, however, if it does hurt to do then don't do it!
