Question:

Plans for a wooden saddle stand?

Does anyone have any plans for a wooden saddle stand they'd be OK with e-mailing to me?

I'd like to build it as a decor piece for my study. I have a new saddle that fits my pony PERFECTLY and since I've had such a hard time finding a saddle that fit, it gets to live inside.

Bonus if it has a storage drawer of some sort.

Basically a free standing rack. I don't have a handy Dad, Husband (or Mom!) to help me out.

Thanks.

  1. Just build a simple A frame.

EDIT: Why did I get a thumbs down?

  2. Take a couple of 1"X 6" boards about 2 1/2' long cut 2 triangle shapes, that you can nail onto the ends of the 1"X 6" boards, then nail them onto a base a couple of 2"x4"'s that are nailed on to a base board.

To the other answerer, there's a bunch of SNERTs that run around here thumbing down EVERYBODY!  Grrrrr

  3. look in a tack supply book and copy the picture the best you can thats what i did
