Plasmid purification procedures?

Can anyone give details of plasmid purification procedures and highlight their advantages and disadvantages.

A lot depends on how much you need to purify and, to some extent, the organism it is in and the copy number.

For larger scale, or for special cases, one of th commercial systems may suit your needs better
