Plastic parts going bad

Question

I have a troy built tiller last year I noticed the gas tank was cracked but not leaking gas . This year I was getting ready to start tilling when I observed the gas cap was split and the gas tank had leaked out all the gas. Was wondering if there was a recall on these items also if not where to get replacement parts.
